Catharina Odencrants

My name is Catharina Odencrants. I am a professional Swedish translator, translating from English, Italian and French into Swedish. I mainly work with Marketing, Transcreation, Tourism, Food &amp; Drink, Fashion, IT, and Comics &amp; Graphic Novels. My Master thesis was on translation of graphic novels and comics, focusing on the correlation between picture and text, a subject which has proven to be very useful in marketing translation as well. I am now the Swedish translator of the Italian comic book&nbsp;<em>Dylan Dog </em>for Ades Media. I live in Gothenburg, but before moving back to Sweden I lived 5 years in Florence, Italy, and 1 1/2 years in London. I still travel frequently to both Italy and the UK, and I try to read as much as I can in both languages – everything from literature to fashion magazines – to keep up the everyday language, which is “importantissimo” in both marketing and literature translation.
