I've worked as a professional freelance translator (EN>DE), editor and proofreader since July 1995, with a background in tourism, media & PR and market research. In the late 1990s I started to translate material relating to the European Union, which has continued ever since. I have won several translation contracts with the European Commission and the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT) and am now translating mainly press releases for the S&D Group in the European Parliament. Another focus is on working with publishers of educational material in the UK and Ireland, helping them to improve their German output.
