Hello, I’ve worked in the translation industry for over 30 years, mainly as a project manager and reviewer. In recent years, though, I’ve been doing more and more hands-on translation – which is the part I enjoy most and what I’d like to focus on going forward. I work best when I have a text to build on and polish, so I’m very happy to take on post-editing assignments and work from machine-translated text (in Studio). So if you are stuck with a Swedish translation that needs a bit of “rescuing”, you’ve come to the right person. What you can expect from me is careful, consistent work and Swedish that sounds natural and idiomatic—not like a direct translation. I’m meticulous by nature and I genuinely care about how the final text reads. I can deliver both translation only (TO) and translation with post-editing (TPE). EDUCATION I have a broad academic background, which is a real asset in my work. I completed a four-year technical programme at upper secondary school and studied at Linköping University (business administration, economics, law, marketing, English and French). I’ve also studied environmental economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and programming. After reviewing specialist translations almost daily for three decades, I’ve seen most types of business text there are. In the medical field, I translate ICFs and other information aimed at non-specialist audiences. WHAT I TRANSLATE Technical manuals, informed consent forms, sustainability reports, annual reports, administrative IT systems and apps, contracts, advertising material, websites, blog articles, surveys, codes of conduct, and more. I translate a wide range of content, but I always like to assess each assignment on a case-by-case basis to make sure I’m the right fit.
